This film is the result of a 4 year effort on the part of hundreds of people -all surrounding the Africa 2009 educators journey. It follows teachers throughout their experiences in Tanzania, back into classrooms, and explores the impacts of this kind of professional development in today’s educational context – including what it means to be inspired and why it matters.
This event is a fundraiser to hopefully make a difference in the lives of so many who have touched ours – both in Tanzania and here in Colorado. Specifically, we are raising funds directly from donors and hosting a silent auction at the film premiere to benefit the Emusoi School for Maasai girls in Arusha, St, Timothy’s school in Moshi, the Shalom orphanage in Karatu, and for the creation of a Denver hub for Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots program.
