This is the comment policy for news stories and videos posted on Education News Colorado. The policy for the opinion and commentary section may differ so please click here to check it out.
We want this site to be a place where people can debate issues vigorously and remain respectful. The debate should be lively, and even pointed at times, but always civil.
Our guidelines:
– No personal attacks. It is possible to disagree with another person without attacking him or her personally.
– Address the issue. Don’t bother with rants or rambles off topic.
– No pseudonyms. Just like in a newspaper’s Letters to the Editor section, we ask that you stand by your comment with your full name.
– In general, comments should be relatively short. If you’d like to discuss a topic at length, you may be a candidate for a post in our commentary section. Contact the publisher at agottlieb@ednewscolorado.org if you’d like to be considered for a guest columnist spot.
If you think this policy prohibits dialogue, talk to us at EdNews@ednewscolorado.org.
