As a Supt of a rural district who did not support the application I fail to see how having access to an expanded data system is worth giving up local control of your school. Believe me we’re already swimming in data and at this point more is less as they say. My humble opinion of course.

I’ve yet to see any imperical evidence that proves that student progress is only the result of effective teaching. I would suggest that student motivation is equally a factor. Current “reforms” are teacher centered rather than student centered. As such, they are destined to fail.
