Thanks, Nancy and Ed News, for covering this. Am curious why the Post has not.

Does anyone else find the Thomas Gamel number stunning? As someone who has run two Denver school board races in the past, I know that we certainly would have taken note of those amounts and maybe had some sense of why they were being offered. Have met Mary and liked her–but really, $93,000????

  3. Mark Sass says:

$185,000 for a school board campaign!! I too like Mary, but is this is out of hand! DPS already has a public relations problem on its hand, if Mary wins with this kind of financial backing from one person, what will the community think? Is the $93,000 a misprint?

  4. Nancy,

Our (Jones for DPS) report was faxed over on Friday afternoon before the reporting deadline. Mr. Jones took in an amended report this afternoon to the City Clerks office. We expect the report should be uploaded on the City website tomorrow. For information purposes here is what we reported related to contributions and expenses:

    Funds on Hand: $5,571.33
    Total Monetary Contributions: $29,140
Total Monetary & Beginning Amount: $34,711.33
    Total Monetary Expenditures: $33,366.22
Funds on Hand at End of Reporting Period: $1345.11

Thank you! If you need further information or have questions please contact us directly at info@jonesfordps.com

    Together we can…Together we will,

    Jones for Denver Public Schools

Jones for DPS – I can only tell you that Mr. Jones’ report was not among those presented to myself and another reporter at the City Clerk’s Office at 5 p.m. on Oct. 30. However, it may have been pulled aside if an amendment was necessary or they knew an amendment was coming. My apologies for indicating Mr. Jones missed the deadline if that was not the case. His figures have been added to the story.

  6. Thank you for all that you have been doing to keep the community informed Nancy.
